The work she had been doing, although extremely rewarding on many levels, didn’t fulfill all her artistic desires. In 1995 moving in a new direction artistically as well as geographically she began painting using acrylic paint collages and embellishments. Feeling new energy with this change Lise Claire was able to develop what she felt was a more personal, whimsical style reminiscent of the work of her fellow French painter, Raoul Dufy. Although achieving some success with this new work, a feeling of inner thrust and a want to explore deeper levels of the creative process began to emerge. Regarding this underlying presence, Lise Claire says, “An artist must go beyond limits and move toward the unknown or the passion dies and the work becomes dull and commonplace.” In 2006 a new period of reinvention and discovery began. Moving forward while simultaneously reaching back into the past for knowledge and understanding, a period of intense work followed in a serious pursuit of a deeper personal expression. Of particular interest at this time was the work of Cezanne, Matisse, Diebenkorn and Bischoff. This research laid the groundwork for experimentation with new painting concepts which led to exciting breakthroughs in her work and a move toward a more abstract style. The new paintings favor an ‘all over’ compositional approach and move away from the figure/ground relationship of earlier work toward promotion of the integrity of the two dimensional picture surface. Occasionally a figure my appear in a painting but it is resolved by integration within the conventions of abstract painting and not as the subject of a painting in the traditional sense. For Lise Claire, the mainly nonobjective, always abstract nature of her paintings allows her to create through an internal dialogue and self-critical method which is the source of creative energy for her own personal vision.

Son travail antérieur bien qu'extrêmement enrichissant à tout niveau n'avait pas encore assouvit tout ses désirs artistiques. En 1995 elle s'envola vers une nouvelle aventure géographiquement et dans le domaine artistique. Elle commença ses peintures utilisant le médium acrylique ainsi que l'utilisation du collage et bijoux. Ce nouveau départ lui permit de développer son propre style de peinture assez fantaisiste qui se révéla être très proche de celui du peintre célèbre Raoul Dufy. Malgré le succès de son nouveau style Lise ressentie un besoin d'aller plus loin dans l'exploration des techniques et plus profondément dans le monde créatif. A ce sujet elle nous révèle "Qu'un artiste doit toujours aller au delà de ses connaissances et marcher dans l'inconnu sans quoi la passion de l'artiste dépérit et son travail deviennent banales". En 2006 une nouvelle période de réinventions et de découvertes commence . Allant de l'avant et simultanément rééxaminant les oeuvres et techniques des peintres avant elle, elle travailla sérieusement sur une redécouverte des profondeurs du Soi. Particulièrement intéressée par le travail de Cézanne , Matisse, et celui d'artistes Californiens comme Diebenkorn et Bischoff. Ces recherches et études lui permit d'atteindre de nouveau horizon notamment dans le domaine de peinture plus abstraite. Abandonnant l'objet et s'évadant vers une peinture colorée de mouvement délicat guidée par sa créativité pure et profonde. Peignant sans limites , un dialogue interne autocritique s'installa afin d'atteindre la source même de toute créativité à travers sa vision personnelle.
